Author's note: Im back!!!!! sorry it took so long. I had a lot of stuff to do. so i changed it up a little, not too much, but some. so i hope you like it

The rest of the day and part of the night was spent picking up all of the rice. There was A LOT of rice. After you had finished, you went to go set up your tent. There wasn’t any room left in the main part of the camp, so you set up next to a tree that was near the camp. You then changed and went to sleep.

*~~first time skip! Yay!~~*

The next morning Francis had woken you up. He had also made you breakfast. After a few minutes, Ivan had poked his head in and frantically neighed. Somehow, Francis could understand this and it meant that everyone else had already left for training. You hurriedly got dressed and ran off to catch up with the others.

When you had finally caught up to them, they were all standing, somewhat, in a line. When you stopped, Gilbert was the first one to say something to you. “Looks like our new friend slept in this morning. Hello Antonio~.  Are you hungry?”

Then Mathias, one of the other people you had tried to befriend yesterday, chimed in. “Yeah, ‘cause I owe you a knuckle sandwich.” He grabbed the front of your shirt and was about to punch you, when Yao approached.

“Soldiers, aru!” This made everyone stop and form a perfect line. He walked up to the line and took his shirt off. ‘wow he is very well built’ you thought to yourself. Then he continued,  “I want you to assemble as quickly and as quietly as you possibly can every morning. If there is anyone who acts otherwise, he will answer to me.” He grabbed a bow and a quiver of arrows.

“Oooohhh~ tough guy~.” You heard Mathias ‘whisper’ to Gilbert.

“Mathias…”  Yao notched an arrow on the bow and aimed it at Mathias. Everyone except him took a step back. Mathias looked very shocked. Then Yao aimed the arrow at the wooden post and shot it. The arrow lodged itself at the very top of the pole. “Thank you very much for volunteering aru. Now retrieve the arrow.”

“I’ll get that arrow pretty boy. And I’ll do it with my shirt on.” You heard Mathias grumble as he walked up to the post. He was about to start climbing when Yao stopped him.

“Hold it. You seem to be missing something.” Chi fu walked over with a very heavy looking box. Yao opened it up and took out two large and heavy gold amulets and put one on Mathias’s wrist and said that is represented discipline. He let go of his wrist, and it fell to the ground. Yao then walked around to his other wrist took it and placed the other amulet around it and stated that it represented strength and that he would need both, if he were to reach the arrow. He let go of Mathias’s arm and this time Mathias completely fell down. His two friends chuckled at this.

Mathias finally got himself back up and approached the post which the arrow was lodged in. He studied it for a few seconds, then jumped on the post and tried to run up it. He began to fall down, at which point he used his teeth to try and keep himself up, but he still kept falling until he was completely back on the ground.

Yao then explained that this was to be today’s first training session and that everyone was going to have to at least attempt to get the arrow. You were a little worried when you heard this news, being that climbing and upper body strength weren’t really your strong suits. He began with the people closest to the post, and then just continued going down the line. When you were almost to the front of the line, you noticed that Gilbert and his other friend, whose name you heard was Alfred, were in front of you, and that it was also Gilbert’s turn. He made it about a third of the way up before he lost his grip and fell off, landing on his head. Next was Alfred’s turn. He didn’t get as far up as Gilbert did and landed on his rear end. Finally it was your turn. Yao put the amulets on your wrists and you gulped. You stepped up to the post and began to climb. About 10 feet up you began to slip. You fell all the way to the ground and landed on your rump as well. This hurt you slightly because you didn’t really have much back there to ‘soften your landing.’ You got up handed the amulets to Yao and walked back to the line.

Yao then put the amulets back in the box. After that he tossed out long bamboo batons that you would used to train with. When some batons got to your area everyone caught one, except for you. Mathias had caught both his and the one that was supposed to be yours. He then used yours to knock you down. He then threw it on the ground and acted like nothing happened.

After a few horrible, miserable hours of training with the bamboo batons, it was finally lunch time, though it’s not like you could eat. Why you ask? Well it’s because Mathias, Gilbert, and Alfred had decided to make it their mission to torment you. After Mathias knocked you down, Gilbert put a scorpion down the back of your shirt, which caused you to knock down everyone that was near you, including Yao. And because of this, you were reprimanded and your punishment was no meal at lunch time.

After lunch it was time for the archery lesson. The goal was to launch three fruits in the air and then shoot a volley of arrows to pin each fruit to a target without letting one hit the ground. After your first few attempts had failed, Francis got the ‘perfect’ idea to place the fruit on the arrow before you shot it. As you were about to shoot, Yao walked over and looked at you disapprovingly, you just sheepishly smiled back at him.

Then the next thing you had to do for the day was to try and knock a bucket off Yao’s head with rocks that he was supposed to block with a baton. After he was done, he told everybody that they would take turns on who had to balance the bucket on their head. When it got to be your turn, the trio decided to pester you further and throw the rocks harder than needed, right at your head. You tried to block them, but only succeeded in knocking the bucket off your head.

After that you and the rest of the troops were supposed to catch a fish, which you would cook for dinner, with your bare hands, but all you managed to catch was a Mathias leg. Then Francis showed up with a fish in his hand for you.

The final, and probably worst, thing you had to do was dodge flaming arrows, in the dark. The only good thing that came out of it was Mathias got hit in the butt with a flaming arrow. After that was over, you were allowed to go to your tents and get some rest.
